Winter Scramble Golf Outings

On a couple of Saturday's this winter, the Classic 5 Golf Courses will be hosting golf outings that are scramble events with a twist.  Below are the dates, times, locations and event details of the upcoming winter scramble event

Saturday, February 25, 2017
8:30AM Shotgun Start

18-Hole 2-Person Scramble Format

Featuring Risk Reward Holes – On holes #4, #8, #13, & #16 a large circle will be painted on the ground approximately 100 yards from the tee. Reward - if any player of the group is able to hit their ball into the circle (ball must stay in the circle) the team may advance their ball to a designated area marked by the tournament committee. Risk – if both players miss the circle, then players must choose one of those balls to play.

Texas Hold’em Station – Before players tee off #1 they have the option to play the starter in a hand of Texas Hold’em. If the players win, they tee off from the Silver tees (special tee placement) on #1. If the players lose (Split hands go to the dealer), they tee off from the Blue tees. If they decide not to play, they tee off from the appropriate tees.

  • Players 49 & younger will play the White Tee Markers. Players 50 & Older will play the Yellow Tee Markers. Ladies will play from the Red Tee Markers.

Starting Time: This is an 8:30AM shotgun start. There will not be a frost delay! The only thing that could cancel the event, is snow cover on the course. The field is limited to the first 50 teams.

Entry Fee: $100.00 per team (includes Greens Fees, Carts, Breakfast, Lunch & Prizes).

Prizes: Include 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams and will be determined by the final size of the field. $10 from each player’s entry is entered into the prize pool. Closest to the Pins on all Par 3’s.

18-Hole Modified Florida Scramble Format

Scoring - Each team's score will be the combination of the lowest 2 scores on each hole.

Par 3’s & Par 4’s- Play scramble off tee shot, then play your own ball until it is holed. Par 5’s- Play scramble for first 2 shots, then play your own ball until it is holed.

If the players lose they tee off from the blue tees. If they decide not to play, they tee off from the appropriate tees.

The Superintendent's Revenge Scramble will test your game as our superintendent takes his revenge with wacky pin placements, on course obstacles, risk and reward holes as the course is set up in a challenging but fun way.

  • Beat The Pro on Hole #11
  • Team Skins

Players 49 & younger will play the White Tee Markers. Players 50 & Older will play the Gold Tee Markers. Ladies will play from the Red Tee Markers.

Starting Time: This is an 8:30AM shotgun start. There will not be a frost delay! The only thing that could cancel the event, is snow cover on the course. The field is limited to the first 30 teams.

Entry Fee: $200.00 per team (includes Greens Fees, Carts, Breakfast, Lunch & Prizes). Call the Forest Park Pro Shop (410-448-4653) if you want to sign-up as a single. All singles will be grouped into foursomes by the Forest Park Golf Course staff.

Prizes: Determined by the final size of the field. $10 from each player’s entry is entered into the prize pool. Closest to the Pins on all Par 3’s.
